Denise A. Austin
Senior Academic Leader in Higher Education across the Asia Pacific
Professor Denise A. Austin has held several senior academic leadership positions and is listed on the Register of Experts for the Australian government’s Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). She is currently Vice President Academic at Leaders Institute, Australia and the external Deputy Chair of Global Leadership Institute. Previously, as Deputy Vice President Research and Standards at Alphacrucis University College, Professor Austin was project manager for successful applications to TEQSA for Self-Accrediting Authority status, University College status, and Renewal of Registration for the maximum of seven years with no conditions.
Professor Austin has published widely in the areas of business, religious, and oral history. She has spoken at numerous national and international conferences. She has also secured over $100,000 in grants to fund the research of Pentecostal history in the Asia Pacific region. Professor Austin has supervised numerous doctoral candidates and, in 2021, was awarded the Alphacrucis Higher Degree Research Supervision Excellence Award.
